Doug Wilder not running for re-election!
Yep, thats right, Mayor Doug Wilder is not running for re-election. Now, I will be the first to admit, I voted for him when he originally was elected. Did I second guess that decision later? Yes. But we all make mistakes. It was the first time in my life I voted democratic.
But for all the negative press the guy gets, he has basically everything I look for in a politician. He is eccentric, sometimes crazy, he is suave, he has a sense of humor, and he seems to be just a normal guy. I met him when I was in elementary school. He was running for governor back then.
So why would I post this on my blog? Well, let me tell you. Some guy that I am somehow related to called Donnie “Dirtwoman” Corker is running for the office of mayor for Richmond, Va. Let me just say this DIRTWOMAN YOU HAVE MY VOTE!!!! Anyone cool enough to play so much bingo is cool enough to be my mayor.
