The first time this site was exposed to Digg frontpage! Lets make money blogging!

Today something awesome happened. Someone submitted one of my articles to Digg and it made the Digg Frontpage! I realized it after my server went down. I wondered what could be wrong. So I checked my widgetbucks impression counter and realized that I had gotten 1500 impressions since the time I checked before (2 minutes earlier). YAY!

But after seeing the post on the front page, I soon learned that Digg users are not a friendly bunch. Well, let me rephrase that. Most people are friendly, and will ask you to digg their stories, but once you get something on the front page, they will bury it. Most people that have visited my blog from Digg are generally nice. They leave comments, we interact, its great. To you people I say thanks.

But, to the group of “chronic masturbators” as I call them, I say eat me. Your life revolves around me not making revenue. And I dislike you for it. I hate that the story was buried within minutes of becoming popular. And although they may have succeeded in “burying” this one, I’m sure there will be another time. I have a baby on the way you know, and website traffic may very well pay for the bed that it sleeps in when its born. At least thats the plan anyway.

At any rate, it was still lucrative for me to have it on the front page, but could you imagine if it had stayed? Oh well the elite “chronic masturbators” win as usual. The Digg Frontpage is far too elusive for the likes of me.

Love and Regards,

Jason

LOL! Welcome to the aftermath of a DIGG!

The amount of visitors it generated last time also shut down my server….. and my paid advertisers were non too happy with it.

I got a lot of visits from people who ended up browsing around in a female oriented site that had no business snooping and leaving their *chronic masturbator* comments.

    Shall I go on?

    :)

Sharon, thanks for reading. I’m moving my server to one with unlimited bandwith tomorrow. The elite community of digg is the only problem with the site. That and the bury feature. Thanks for the story, and if you need a link, don’t hesitate to ask!
